Current volunteering roles

We are currently recruiting for three roles:

Volunteer carer champions: As part of our Carers Found project, we are looking for carer champions to help us reach out to more unpaid carers, especially those who may struggle with technology and feel alone. We are looking for outgoing individuals with good verbal and written communication skills, who are excited about meeting new people and explaining to them the benefits of registering as unpaid adult carers. We are looking for someone comfortable with both face-to-face and digital outreach. Extra bonus points if you speak another language!

End of Life Carers volunteers to assist us in offering tailored emotional, practical and psychological support and information to carers who are looking after someone approaching the end of their life. Working with End of Life Carers we aim to make the carer's experience more positive and fulfilling; and make it more likely to fulfil the cared-for's wishes, such as staying at home.

Caseworker support volunteers to help Caseworkers make telephone calls to carers. You will also have the opportunity to develop your admin skills plus you will learn a lot about the local community. You will receive training and continuous support, and the opportunity to be part of a small and vibrant team. We are looking for a volunteer to support us for a minimum of six months, for ideally two hours per week.

Full training and DBS-check are provided for all roles. Please note, these are roles are not paid.
