Caring can be tough, and you need to look after yourself
This means looking after your mental as well as your physical health. Being a carer can have a negative impact on your physical health – exhaustion, skipping meals, or muscle strain from lifting.
It can also impact on your mental health – you may experience feelings of frustration, anxiety, guilt or depression. We want you to care of yourself – both your physical and mental health.
You may find practical pointers through training offered, such as Lifting and Handling courses, or counselling services.
If you are an adult unpaid carer looking after someone over 18 who lives in the City of Westminster, The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea or The London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, please contact us on 020 8960 3033 or email info@carers-network.org.uk to discuss your unique needs.
